Months of speculation, leaked images, get ready because Android is coming. Google and T-Mobile are teaming up to release the first mobile handset built around the next generation mobile operating system, Android. It promises to be worthy competition to the Apple giant that is the iPhone (my choice of handset so apologies if any bias is coming across), the only question is, is it too late?

Ok so you surf the web quite a lot, like me, if you could choose one company apart from the usual crowd to develop a web browser, who would it be? Yahoo? Digg? none of the above? How about the biggest web company currently in existence? A company that collects data about billions of internet users every day? Yep, the big G have gone and dropped a bomb, Google Chrome is out and is set to make big waves.

Today is Uninstall Internet Explorer 6 Day! Yes that is correct a day out of the universe has been dedicated to the eradication of a plague that affects the lives of countless designers, users and developers, and rightly so. The 7 year old browser has outstayed its welcome but still somehow lingers on. We, the designers, users and developers of the World Wide Web are here to say leave this place, go and never comeback.

Hundreds of bloggers have offered their explanation of the now infamous phrase ‘Web 2.0′, some say it’s a technical thing, some say it’s a social thing, all we know is it signifies a significant change to the greatest invention since the light bulb. We (designers) are a lucky bunch really, we all get to use these fantastic fonts that other designers and typographers have slaved over, to add a quality finish to our work that wouldn’t be possible without them. I appreciate my fonts; it’s too easy to take them for granted, so I wanted to feature a post giving credit to those that use the most.
