Turning complex ESG data into a human-centered, engaging and joyful investment experience

Redesigning ACA Ethos meant tackling a fundamental challenge: how to make complex environmental, social and governance data feel personal, trustworthy and actionable. The platform empowers users to align their financial decisions with their values, but the original experience was dense, data-heavy and difficult to navigate. Our goal was to simplify impact insights, surface what matters most and build a clear, confident experience that supports both everyday investors and institutional users without compromising nuance or transparency.

Building clarity through consistency: creating the ACA Ethos design system.

As part of the redesign, we built a new design system from the ground up to unify the product’s visual language, interaction patterns and accessibility standards. The original UI was fragmented, with inconsistent components and styling across modules, which led to usability friction and slowed development. We introduced a scalable system of tokens, components and layout rules. The system was designed to support data-heavy views, responsive layouts and future product growth, while giving the team a shared language to move faster and more consistently across design and engineering.
